Information for Event Organizers, Volunteers, Performers and Attendees

The Cardel Theatre is open under Alberta's Restrictions Exemptions Program.

Face Masks: Under the Program as well as under City of Calgary by-laws, all attendees must wear a face mask at all times while in the venue and during a performance, except when eating or drinking in their assigned banquet seating, or due to infirmity, or if under two years of age.

Program Requirements: Attendees ages 12 and older will be requested to provide:

  • Proof of vaccination status, along with approved ID; or
  • Proof of a privately-paid negative rapid test result taken within 72 hours of attendance; or
  • Proof of vaccine medical exemption, along with approved ID.

Patrons younger than 12 years of age will not be required to provide proof but must be accompanied by an adult that meets the program requirements as outlined.

Refund Policy: Reseating, rebooking or refunds are at the event organizer's discretion. Contact your original point of sale for any events that were cancelled or rescheduled.

Medical Exemptions: Attendees with exemptions should contact the event organizer prior to the event to ensure accommodation for physically-distanced seating can be made. The Cardel Theatre will advise event organizers to reserve a section of seating suitable for medically exempt attendees. Attendees' original seating choices may not be available to them.

Front-of-House Staff: Ushers, ticket takers, and Cardel Theatre staff must meet the program's proof requirements and must wear a face mask in accordance with masking requirements and whenever engaged with the public.
